NJ Transit Offering Express Rides to Mountain Creek

Trips from the Route 23 transit center will begin Dec. 26.

Skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts can catch a ride to Mountain Creek without having to worry about packing up a vehicle beginning Monday with NJ Transit's express service to the Vernon resort.

The bus will run Monday through Friday from Dec. 26 to 30 and will run on weekends and holidays beginning Dec. 31 through March 4.

Customers will be able to board at the Route 23 Transit Center on Route 23 South and ride directly to Mountain Creek. Buses are scheduled to arrive at the center at 8 a.m. for an estimated arrival time of 9:12 a.m. at Mountain Creek. The bus will depart from Mountain Creek at 4:30 p.m., arrive at the Route 23 Transit Center at 5:40 p.m.. Buses will not make local stops.

Costs will be as follows: $8.80 for a roundtrip ticket from the Route 23 Transit Center for customers 12 and older and $4 for customers with disabilities and senior citizens.

NJ Transit has also partnered with Mountain Creek to offer a discount of $10 off a lift ticket on weekends and holidays to customers 19 and older. Seniors and customers ages 7 to 18 can receive a $6 discount on weekends and holidays. Customers must show a valid NJ Transit bus receipt when purchasing their lift ticket at Mountain Creek to get the discount.
