State of the Township Address Coming Wednesday

Mayor Chris Vergano will give the annual State of the Township address at the township’s 167th Reorganization Meeting on Wednesday night.

A new council president will be selected for 2013. Fourth Ward Councilman Joseph Scuralli served in that capacity last year.

Several individuals will be appointed to various township positions and boards.

The council will vote on representatives and liaisons to the Board of Adjustment, Library Board of Trustees, and the Environmental Commission, among others.

Steven Toth is expected to be confirmed as the new fire commissioner. The appointment is for two years. Barry Turner previously served in that capacity.

Vergano nominates individuals to the Planning Board, Rent Leveling Board, Environmental Commission, and the Open Space Committee. He also nominated individuals to the Library Board of Trustees, Local Assistance Board, Municipal Court, and Open Space Committee with the advice and consent of the Municipal Council.
