Man Crashes Car Into Ditch, Charged With DUI

Police report seeing car travel down an embankment before crashing along Route 23 near Mountainview Boulevard.

A Lincoln Park man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after he drove his car down an embankment and drove into a ditch Saturday night, reported.

Officer Vincent Ricciardelli reported seeing a vehicle traveling on Route 23 South come over the Mountainview Boulevard bridge. He reported seeing the vehicle leave the right side of the roadway, travel down an embankment through a heavily wooded area, and come to rest in a ditch along side of Route 23.

Ricciardelli approached the vehicle to see if the driver, Dean Uglow, of Lincoln Park was injured, the report states. Ricciardelli reported finding a syringe lying on the driver’s seat and determined that Uglow was driving under the influence.
