Hills' Kevin Olsen Vying for an Invitation to Elite Quarterback Camp

Olsen is one of the top 150 national high school prospects for the class of 2013.

Kevin Olsen, star quarterback of the state-champion football team, is trying to earn an invitation to ESPN's regional Elite 11 quarterback camp in July.

Olsen is on ESPN's list of the top 150 national high school prospects for the class of 2013. He told ESPN recently that he's received offers from 25 colleges and universities to play football for them.

Olsen also told ESPN that he enjoys playing for his father Chris, an eight-time state championship winning coach, and hopes to win another state championship next year when he returns to the field. The team .

Olsen told NorthJersey.com earlier this year that it's awesome knowing big-time schools are coming to see him play and talk to his father.

Olsen raised some eyebrows rencently when he if his father doesn't coach the team.

The older Olsen is athletic director of Wayne Hills High School. The board  that prohibits administrators and supervisors from coaching sports teams or acting as advisors to any athletic or extra-curricular program.
