Health Expo for Older Americans is May 9

Blood pressure, hearing screenings will be offered.

In observance of Older Americans Month, the Wayne Township Health

Department and The Information Network on Aging will host the Health Information Expo for Older Adults Monday, May 9 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wayne Health Department, 475 Valley Rd., the municipal complex.

This event is free to attend. Pre-registration is not required.

Resources, information, and health screenings geared to help older residents

stay well and healthy as they age will be provided. Valuable solutions will be shared on how to prepare for, and make the most of, residents’ senior years.

Blood pressure and hearing screenings and evaluations will be offered. Information on home health care, nutrition, and legal services will be available. Brain education exercises will take place at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m..

There will be giveaways and a raffle for various items, including a motorized scooter.
