Health Care Professionals to Discuss Diabetes Prevention

Special panel discussion will be held at the Wayne YMCA on Wednesday.

A special panel discussion on preventing diabetes will be held at the Wayne YMCA on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

The discussion is part of the YMCA’s community health forum: “The Preventable Epidemic: Community-Based Solutions for Tracking Diabetes.”

Health care leaders in both the public and private sectors are scheduled to participate in the discussion.

Several YMCAs in New Jersey are working to raise the awareness of type two Diabetes and provide community-based solutions to try and prevent the disease.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m.; the program runs from 10 a.m. to noon. Refreshments will be held from noon to 1 p.m.

For more information, call the YMCA at 973-595-0100.
