Update: Hamburg Turnpike is Open
Clean up process begins on bridge over Pompton River.
Hamburg Turnpike is now open.
Portions of trees and branches were strewn across Hamburg Turnpike earlier today as Department of Public Works personnel cleaned up the flood-devisated area.
Water from the river was, at one point, flowing across the bridge near Terhune Drive. Debris is on the ground near the fence on the bridge. Rushing floodwaters destroyed the fence.
