Golf Outing Will Help Fund Flood Repair

Proceeds from annual golf tournament will help the Packanack Community Church repair recent flood damage and purchase new office equipment.

will hold its annual Golf Tournament on Monday, Sept. 10.

Proceeds from the event will help the church recover from earlier this month.

The church’s $10,000 copier, two air conditioning units, and carpets on the first floor were destroyed. A few pieces of office furniture, some sheetrock, and a door and doorframe need to be purchased as well.

Rev. Karyn Ratcliffe is waiting to hear if insurance will cover the cost of the copier and repairs.

Ratcliffe said that church officials would not ask congregants for donations to help repair the building.

The golf tournament will be held at the . There is a nine-hole outing the morning and an 18-hole outing in the afternoon.

The following sponsorship opportunities are available:

Nine-hole outing in the morning: $50. Tee off at 8:15 a.m. Includes a buffet lunch at 11:30 a.m. Limited to 20 players.

18-hole outing in the afternoon: $100, includes lunch at 11:30 a.m. Tee off at 12:30 p.m. Includes refreshments, prizes, a raffle, cash bar, and dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. Limited to 40 players. Golf carts will be available for participants during both times.

Non-players are welcome to come for lunch or dinner for $15 or $25, respectively.

Sponsors are also needed. Sponsorships cost between $25 and $200.
