Girl Scouts Recognized for Earning Silver Awards

Mayor Vergano: "Thank you for setting a standard of excellence to which all Girl Scouts should aspire."

Eleven Girl Scouts from Troop 163 were honored at the meeting Thursday for earning their Silver Awards.

The Silver Award is the highest award a Girl Scout cadet can earn. Projects must center around the community the girls live in and what they can do to increase awareness about a particular issue.

The girls each received a certificate from Mayor Chris Vergano.
