Get Help Finding A Job At Annual Fair

Workshops on using social media to find a job and how to land a government job will be offered.

Residents who want help writing their resume, learning how to use social media to find work, or who want to apply for government work can do so at an annual career resource fair soon.

is hosting its annual job fair and career resource event Friday, Aug. 24 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The following workshops will be offered:

  • Social Media for the Job Search
  • Resume Writing and Resume Critiquing
  • How to Apply for Government Jobs
  • Presentation Skills for the Job Market

Dozens of companies form the healthcare, financial, manufacturing, transportation, and other industries are scheduled to attend.

Attendees should bring at least 20 resumes and wear interview-appropriate clothes.

Congressman Bill Pascrell is scheduled to speak at 9:15 a.m.

The university’s Center for Continuing and Professional Education and the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development are sponsoring the event.
