Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum Holding Annual Meeting Monday

Group will discuss a proposed visitors center.

Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum (FOLA) will hold its annual meeting on Monday, Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at the library.

The group will discuss a proposed visitors center for the arboretum, elect officers, and the new sensory garden, among other topics.

The meeting is open to the public.

Laurelwood Arboretum is a 30-acre facility located at 725 Pines Lake Drive West. It is home to hundreds of kinds of azaleas, rhododendrons, blubs, annuals, and perennials.

Many edcuational lectures and hands-on events are held at the arboretum annually.

FOLA is group of volunteers who work to improve and maintain the arboretum.
