Freeholder Bartlett will Help Oversee Transportation Planning

Newly-elected freeholder appointed to the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority.

Passaic County freeholder JOhn Bartlett will represent Passaic County on the Board of Trustees of the North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA).

The NJTPA oversees transportation planning and controls all fedreal surface transportation investments in North and Central Jersey. An elected official from each county serves on the board.

Bartlett was elected to the freeholder board in November. He is chairman of Friends of Passaic County, a non-profit that advocates for imporving county park facilities and raises money improve the county park system.

"It's an honor to represent Passaic County as a member of the NJTPA Board," Bartlett said in a statement. "I'm eager to get to work and help make our transportation network the best it can be, boht here in Passaic County and regionwide."
