Board of Education Trustee Resigns

Robyn Kingston, who was elected to the Board of Education in 2011, resigned her seat on the Board this week. District officials have begun accepting resumes in an effort to replace her.

Board Introduces Changes to Facilities Policy

Officials introduced revisions to a controversial policy that requires organizations to pay to use school facilities. Groups whose participants are more than 50 percent Wayne residents would not be charged a rental fee to use facilities

Food Pantry Seeks Place to Store Donations

The Wayne Interfatith Network is looking for places to store excess donations its been receiving. The pantry has outgrown the space is uses at Packanack Community Church.

Ex-NHL Player Talks About the Dangers of Concussions

Kieth Primeau, a former player in the National Hcokey League, said that kids need more time to heal and often they go back to school too soon after being diagnosed with concussions.

The Wayne Education Association, the union that represents the teachers in the Wayne Public School District, donated more than $5,000 worth of ShopRite gift cards to help Wayne famililes who need a little extra help.
