Eliminating Noise Pollution, Possible Grading Format Changes and More This Week

Here is a look at what may be on Wayne Patch this week.

Here is a sample of what may be on Wayne Patch this week:

  • There is a special meeting on Monday regarding possible changes to the high school grading format. Students and parents are invited to discuss the changes with district officials. We’ll attend the meeting and let you know what people have to say.
  • The town council may approve an ordinance that establishes new rules that stipulate how long dogs can bark before its considered noise pollution and when someone can perform work on his or her home.
  • A cleanup plan for the Topsoil Depot site was supposed to be implemented by now. The state Department of Environmental Protection may send a letter to the site’s owner this week. We’ll let you know what steps the DEP will take to get the site cleaned up.
  • The council meeting is Wednesday. We’ll let you know what measures are approved and what happens at the meeting.
  • The Wayne Board of Education will meet on Thursday. We’ll let you know what happens at the meeting.
