Technology Saves Schools Money, Resident Rocks Out This Week

Here is a sample of what we're working on this week for Wayne Patch.

Here is a sample of what we’re working on this week for Wayne Patch:

  • The Wayne Public School District is saving money by implementing new technologies in the district. We’ll let you know what moves the district is making to save taxpayers money and further the integration of technology into the district.
  • Farms View roadside stand will host a fundraiser for injured Wayne Police Officer Bob Franco on Wednesday. A portion of sales that day will be donated to Franco and his family. We’ll attend the fundraiser and let you know how it goes.

Franco suffered a severe spinal cord injury when a tree fell on his patrol car during Hurricane Sandy. He is going through physical therapy and recovering from the incident.

  • Resident Claire Traynor loves to rock out. The young Wayne resident is the front woman and guitarist for the band Radio Silence. We’ll talk to Traynor and let you know what makes this young rocker tick.
  • Several cast members from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey”, including Wayne resident Kathy Wakile, will participate in a fundraiser for Hurricane Sandy victims at the Brownstone on Monday. We’ll attend the fundraiser and let you know how it goes.
