Cub Scout Pack 130 Seeking New Members

Den leaders' goal is to revitalize this PBA-sponsored troop

Den leaders of PBA-sponsored Cub Scouts Troop 130 held an open house Saturday afternoon at Fire Company #1 in hopes of signing up new members.

Several former members recently moved into the Boy Scouts and the troop is looking to grow again.

Boys in grades 1 through 5 can join.

"Meetings are to be held at either the firehouse or at the Ryerson Elementary School," den leader Linda explained. "Our goal of the troop is to build confidence and responsibility through fun."

Building life skills in an age-appropriate setting is the main goal of den leaders Linda and Lisa. Scouts learn about family involvement, keeping healthy, physical fitness within the community and much more. There are activities in science, such as planting seeds, arts and crafts, events such as the Pinewood Derby and marching in the parade. The Scouts also may attend summer and resident camps that enable them to earn merit badges.
