Canton Road Closed Due to Water Main Break
Water was flowing down both sides of the street late Wednesday night.
Authorities were working to fix a broken water main on Canton Road late Wednesday night.
Canton Road was closed at the intersection of Deerfield Road and near Farmingdale Road. Water was rushing down both sides of Canton Road, flowing out of storm drains.
Police at the scene would not comment on how much damage they thought was done, what caused the break to occur, or how many people in the area, if any, would be without water Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

A representative from the Department of Public Works could not be reached for comment early Thursday morning.
