Candidates' Night, an Easter Egg Hunt, and Fishing Season Begins

Here is a look at what stories we will be working on this week.

Here are some of the stories we're working on this week at Wayne Patch.

  • The township's annual Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the Wayne Valley Junior Varsity Football Field, which is behind the Municipal Complex on Valley Road. See the attached flyer for more information.
  • We'll find out the latest about T-Mobile's five applications to install cell phone antennas in the township. T-Mobile was supposed to submit reports to RCC Consultants by the end of March on each proposed site. Residents have spoken out publicly against the applications, saying the antennas pose a health risk and will decrease local property values.
  • We'll attend the Board of Education Candidates' Night Tuesday, April 5 at 7 p.m. in the council chamber in the municipal complex.
  • Wayne Hills High School will host its annual culinary competition April 6. We'll let you know what delicious meals the students create.
  • Fishing season begins Saturday. Residents will kick off the season by casting their lines into the Ramapo River, behind McCobb's restaurant on Hamburg Turnpike, at 8 a.m. We'll be there and let you know who reels in the first catch of the year.
