Board of Education Will Host Special Budget Meeting

Cell phone tower applications are on Board of Adjustment's agenda.

The Wayne Board of Education will hold a special board of education meeting Thursday, Feb. 24 at 6 p.m. to discuss the district's 2011-2012 budget. The meeting will be held in the conference room at the school district's office at 50 Nellis Drive.

Work is scheduled to begin on the district's solar panel project at several schools Tuesday.

Two applications to construct cell phone towers are on the board of adjustment's Feb. 22 meeting agenda, however, according to the agenda, the applicant, T-Mobile Northeast LLC, has requested the applications be moved to the board's April 18 meeting. One of the applications requires several use variances, including installing the tower in a residential zone on Colfax Avenue.
