Blood Drive will be Held, Boy Scouts to be Honored and More This Week

Here are some of things happening in Wayne this week.

Here’s a look at what is happening in Wayne this week and what you may find on Wayne Patch.

  • Testimony is expected to be heard regarding a new service station on Route 23 South at a Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting Monday.
  • The Music Saves Lives blood drive will be held at Congregation Shomrei Torah on Tuesday from 3:15 to 9:15 p.m.

Donors will receive a V.I.P. pass for the Vans Warped Tour. Donors must be at least 16 years old and weigh 110 pounds; 16-year-olds will need to bring a parental consent form. Donors must present a photo identification and proof of age. The New York Blood Center is overseeing the donating of blood.

  • The Town Council is scheduled to honor the 50th anniversary of the Boy Scout program at Our Lady of the Valley R.C. Church at a meeting Wednesday.

  • A special Summer Solstice Photo Walk will be held at Laurelwood Arboretum on Friday, June 21 at 5 p.m.

Dawn Healey, president of the Essex Photo Club will show attendees where the best places to take photos in  Laurelwood are and how to photograph them.

Attendees should wear comfortable shoes.
