Beefsteak Dinner Being Held to Help Family

Tumminello family has lived in Wayne for years. Family is dealing with mounting medical bills due to complications from Ed's battle with diabetes.

A group of residents has united to help the Tumminello family.

Ed Tumminello lost both of his legs due to complications from diabetes. He spent most of 2012 in the hospital, unable to work. Medical bills have been mounting.

A beefsteak fundraiser will be held for the family at The Brownstone on Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $65. Proceeds will help the family pay for medical bills

The Wayne Police Athletic League is co-sponsoring the event.

“It’s amazing what people have done already and what they continue to do,” said Tumminello’s wife Elaine, noting that people she doesn’t even know have made donations to help the family. ”It’s very humbling.”

Raffle baskets are also needed for an auction that will be held at the dinner.
