1 to 3 Inches of Snow Expected

Schools closed for holiday; library open.

Here are five things you need to know for today, Feb. 21, President's Day.

  1. One to three inches of snow could cover the area by the end of day. The most intense snow could fall this morning. For the latest forecast, click here. Residents are reminded that they need to clear snow from their vehicles or face fines. Sidewalks in front of homes need to be cleared within 48 hours of the snow falling or else residents will be fined. For the latest forecast, click here.
  2. Town hall is closed. Tonight's board of adjustments meeting is cancelled. The board will meet tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. in the council chamber.
  3. Schools are closed today and tomorrow for winter recess. 
  4. The public library is open today. There will be a special presidential arts and craft and story time from 11 to 11:30 a.m. for children ages 3 to 5. Click here for more information.
  5. There will be an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting at the United Methodist Church, 99 Parish Drive, from 8 to 9 p.m. The meeting is free attend.
