Wayne Hills High School Students Visit The Wayne Animal Shelter

Wayne Hills High School students visit the Wayne Township Animal Shelter and leave with compassion for its furry residents and also a very generous offer of donations.

On October 9th, the Wayne Township Animal Shelter was visited by students from Wayne Hills High School along with their teachers, Sarah Getzke & Tom Rose.  During the fieldtrip, the students visited each animal, asking numerous questions and gained a better understanding of the services that the shelter provides to the community.

It was a very eventful and educational trip for the students, teachers and teacher aids and many remarked that they really enjoyed the experience with the animals in the shelter.  The students asked how they could help and were provided with the Shelter's Donation Wish List.  Much to the appreciation of the Wayne Township Animal Shelter, they plan on bringing a donation basket in the near future to assist in the care of the shelter's homeless animals.

If you'd like to donate supplies to the shelter, please see our Wish List below which has some of the most needed items at this time (we have a lot of kittens!).  All donations are appreciated and you can either drop them off during adoption hours on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 6:00-8:00PM or on Saturdays at 12:00-4:00PM.  And if those times aren’t convenient for you, please feel free to leave your donations on our doorstep!  We greatly appreciate your generosity and hope that you keep us in mind when you’re ready to adopt your next furry family member!  Thank you!
