Shelter's Featured Adoptable Pet: Scooby

Scooby has a very sad story of abandonment, he was found in the cold on Demarest Road in Wayne tied to a pole with his name taped to his collar. He's currently searching for a loving forever home.

FEATURED ADOPTABLE PET AT THE WAYNE TOWNSHIP ANIMAL SHELTER

SCOOBY

I’d like to introduce myself to you! My name is Scooby and I haven’t had luck so far when it comes to finding a forever home and someone to love me. I was found out in the cold and abandoned on Demarest Road in Wayne tied to a pole with my name taped to my collar.

When I was first rescued I was very scared and felt sad because I no longer had a home and I really didn’t understand why. But thankfully now I’ve been given a second chance here at the Wayne Animal Shelter to find a loving forever home.

I’m a really friendly guy who always has a big smile to greet you. I’m energetic and would love to be part of an active family where I can have lots of fun! I’m very smart and able to learn training commands quickly and really like playing all kinds of games like fetch and tug and love going on long walks.

I have so much love to give and just want to be in a home with someone that wants to play and have a lot of fun like I do!

When people come to visit the shelter I try really hard to show them how friendly I am and let them know how much I want to come home with them, but so far no one has taken me out of my shelter cage and into their home permanently.

I just need someone to give me a chance and I still hope each time someone comes to meet me that this might be the one person who will finally love me forever. But so far it hasn’t happened, so I’ve got is to wait patiently and see, smell and hear the same things every day inside the shelter, when all I really want is to be in a home where maybe instead of staring out through metal bars I can stare out the window and see, smell and hear different things like cars, birds and people and be able to play with someone instead of just being lonely and sad in my cage.

When I meet you I promise if you just give me a chance you’ll love me, but not as much as I’ll love you for rescuing me from my shelter cage and finally allowing me to feel real love that lasts forever. That’s all I want from you…
