Handsome has a very sad story of abandonment. He was once an adored family pet, but now he's just been left behind.
My name is Handsome and I was abandoned by my family because they were moving and unfortunately I wasn’t invited along with them. At first I was really scared being in a strange place, couldn’t understand why I was in a cage and was really sad that I no longer had a home after many years of being an adored family pet.
I’ve always been a well-behaved kitty and showed my family how much I loved them, but they just left me behind like I didn’t matter anymore. But, thankfully I’ve been given a second chance at the Wayne Township Animal Shelter, and my only option is to wait patiently. I’ve been at the shelter for such a long time watching people pass me by and I just don’t understand why since I’m a really good cat, have a fun personality, playful and well behaved, plus I live up to my name since I’m a really good looking cat!
Even though I’ve been so lonely and bored in my shelter cage for what seems like forever, I still hold out hope that someone might love me one day and I watch the door carefully every time someone comes in to visit and think that maybe this time its going to be the person that I’ve been waiting for to take me with them. Please come to meet me and maybe you can be my long awaited forever home! When I see you come through the door, I promise if you just give me a chance and stop at my cage for awhile you’ll love me, but not as much as I’ll love you for rescuing me from my shelter cage.
