Enterprise Holdings Raises Money for the American Cancer Society

Wayne, NJ, May 21, 2014- The New Jersey operations team of Enterprise Holdings, the corporate parent of the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental and Alamo Rent A Car brands, and the Enterprise Holdings Foundation, the corporation’s philanthropic arm raised more than $3,700 during Montclair State University’s Relay For Life event on May 2-3, 2014.

“It’s through the dedication of our employees and community that we were able to raise funds for the American Cancer Society,” said Chris Fitzpatrick, talent acquisition manager. “We strive to make a positive difference in our community and the Relay for Life event was a great opportunity to do so.”

During the event, 25 Enterprise Holdings team and family members attended to over 150 students at the official Enterprise Holdings table. Over 100 t-shirts, glow sticks and other accessories were given out to the community. Enterprise Holdings employee Lauren Lentine gathered $435; Ty Della Monica raised $460, while Kaitlyn Vanderpyl raised $1090. "We heard touching stories from cancer survivors and caregivers who haven’t given up the fight against cancer and we proudly stood with them as a major part of the community, truly driving home the idea that we strengthen our communities one neighborhood at a time,” added Mr. Fitzpatrick.

Montclair State University’s Relay for Life event raised more than $55,000 for the American Cancer Society. During the event, the New Jersey community walked together to raise money and awareness, while honoring both survivors and lives lost to cancer. The American Cancer society hosts this event each year, gathering more than four million people in 20 countries across the globe to honor and celebrate cancer patients.
