Bank Shredding Confidential Documents for Free

Residents can bring old bank statements and tax returns to Valley National Bank Saturday.

Personal and confidential documents can be shredded at an identity theft awareness event hosted by Valley National Bank on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The free event will take place at the Valley National Bank at 1445 Route 23 South in Wayne.

Residents are encouraged to bring documents such as old bank statements, checks, income tax returns, and credit card statements. Staff members will discuss measures that can used to reduce the risk of fraud and identity theft.
