Stars Of "16 And Pregnant" Will Appear In Wayne Next Week

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra from hit television show will talk about unplanned pregnancy, adoption, and other issues facing young adults and teenagers. Couple placed 2-year-old daughter Carly up for adoption.

Two cast members from MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” will make an appearance in Wayne next week to talk about unplanned pregnancy and adoption.

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra, parents to 2-year-old Carly, are stars of the MTV hit show and its spin-off "Teen Mom." They placed Carly up for adoption after she was born. Carly was adopted and the couple receive regular updates about their daughter.

The couple, now engaged, will participate in an open discussion on unplanned pregnancy, adoption, and other issues facing young adults and teenagers, at the  Thursday, May 10 and Friday May 11.

The couple will share their story and answer questions as part of their national tour with Bethany Christian Services, a national family preservation and adoption agency. Bethany has assisted women and families with unplanned pregnancies for more than 65 years.

Students, parents, teenagers, social workers, and anyone considering placing a child up for adoption or who is experiencing an unplanned pregnancy are invited to attend. Professionals from Bethany will also participate in the event.

The appearances will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. on May 10 and from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 11.
