Residents have an opportunity to get some of more than $5 million Target is donating to schools soon as part of its Give With Target fundraiser.
Target will donate $5 million to public and private schools. Residents can visit Target’s website and vote for their school.
Residents must be logged into Facebook in order to vote. Voting is reset every week so residents may vote once a week until voting ends.
It takes 25 votes to start. After 25 votes a school will receive $1 for every vote cast. Voting ends Sept. 21 at 11:59 p.m.
“We could use this money to purchase supplies for needy students or for teaches who need extra supplies,” said Lisa Klink, a special education teacher at Schuyler-Colfax Middle School. “If we could get up into the thousands of dollars, that’d be wonderful. It’s free money. We should try and get as much as we can.”
To vote, sign into Facebook and click here to visit the website. Type in 07470 in the zip code box and then select the school you’d like to vote for.
