Personnel Moves Delayed, Board Meeting Cancelled

Appointment of assistant principals at Wayne Valley and Wayne Hills high schools was scheduled to be decided.

The Board of Education was scheduled to vote on personnel decisions for the 2013-14 school year Thursday.

The board was scheduled to meet Thursday but the meeting was cancelled. No reason was given for the cancellation. The meeting will be rescheduled.

Michael Rewick was scheduled to become an assistant principal at Wayne Hills High School. Currently, Rewick is an assistant principal at Wayne Valley High School.

Michael Ben-David, principal of Anthony Wayne Middle School, was scheduled to become district director of secondary education. He will replace Cathy Labate. Labate will resign from her position Dec. 31. Ben-David will take over on an interim basis until Labate resigns. The move will become permanent Jan. 1.

Assistant principals at Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley high schools were scheduled to be hired.
