Breakfast to be Served at Randall Carter, A.P. Terhune for First Time Monday

Meal will cost $1.35. Items may also be purchased a la carte.

Breakfast will be served at Randall Carter and A.P. Terhune elementary schools beginning Monday, the first day of school.

Breakfasts will be offered at every elementary school beginning this school year. Breakfast is already served at Ryerson and John F. Kennedy schools. The meal will be rolled out at the five remaining elementary schools in September and October.

The meal will be served between 8:35 and 8:55 a.m.

A full breakfast with milk, a fruit item, and an item of whole grain will cost $1.35. Occasionally, a meat item, such as a sausage patty, will be substituted into a full breakfast.

Students may also purchase items a la carte.

Hot items include: regular and whole-wheat varieties of French toast sticks, waffles, pancakes, and eggs.

Parfaits, yogurts, fruit, fruit cups, and cereal will also be offered. A traveling cook will make made-to-order items such as omelets and waffles.

Parents may sample items at Randall Carter and A.P. Terhune on Tuesday, Sept. 10 and Thursday, Sept. 12, respectively.
