Wayne Theater Company Presents Off-Broadway Production

The one-night-only directed reading was written by a Wayne resident and company co-founder.

The following was submitted to Patch by Ground Level Theater.

After selling out 3 of our 5 nights from its inaugural production Relation-Slips in May, Wayne's Ground Level Theater recently produced one of its shows in New York City.

Ground Level Theatre offered a directed reading of The Bridal Shower last Sunday at The Triad on West 72nd Street in Manhattan. The reading featured five actresses, including Wayne resident Gloria Goldman Quinn. The play is written and directed by Ground Level co-founder and Wayne resident Michael Magenta.

It’s an intergenerational story about 5 women who come together to celebrate a “make-up” bridal shower. Laughter abounds as the women discuss sex, love, and summer camp from decades ago.

Magenta and Robert Barwick founded Ground Level last year. It held its first production in May.
