Waitress from Wayne Wins $10K 'Big Tip' from New Rachael Ray Show

Show aims to reward waiters and waitresses who do awesome things in their daily lives, report says.

In Rachel Ray’s new Food Network show, the celeb chef travels the country in search of waiters and waitresses who do things in their personal lives that make them deserve to get a really big tip, and then she gives it to them.

On the series premiere of The Big Tip last weekend, a waitress from Wayne was the lucky recipient of a $10,000 tip from Ray.

According to a NorthJersey.com report, township native Candi Bright, a waitress at the Elm Street Grill in Oakland, was completely surprised when a diner at the restaurant left an envelope with a $10,000 tip in it. After she opened the envelope, Rachael Ray entered the restaurant and told her that she had won the money and would appear on the premiere of the new show, the report said.

The Big Tip aims to reward servers who do extraordinary things in their lives outside of the restaurant biz.

According to the report, Bright was chosen because she spends most of her free time working for a dog rescue she started 12 years ago called “Gentle Giant,” which is aimed at helping protect and promote awareness about large dogs.
