This is not news, not even a real feature story, and certainly not unexpected in January in the "garden" state.

State of emergencies are most definitely news. Of course it snows in January just as it rains in October. What is the point? Driving unnecessarily in these conditions and then causing an accident may make you negligent in a legal suit. I would definitely bring action against you if you knowingly caused me bodily harm during a state of emergency.
