Register to Vote at ShopRite This Month
Local League of Women Voters chapter is holding special registration event.
The League of Women Voters of Wayne Township will accept voter registrations at ShopRite on Hamburg Turnpike later on this month in an effort to get people to vote in the Special Election Oct. 16.
The deadline to register to vote in the Special Election is Wednesday, Sept. 25.
“The Wednesday dates, both for the registration deadline and the date of the election itself, are highly unusual,” said Becky Yates, the league’s voter service chairwoman. “Deadlines are quickly approaching and the league is stepping up our efforts to ensure voters are aware of all deadlines and are prepared to participate this October.”

The league will be at ShopRite on Wednesday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The deadline to apply for a vote by mail ballot is Wednesday, Oct. 9. Vote by mail applications are available online.
