NJ Transit Offering Express Service to Mountain Creek

Riders can receive discounts on admission with a valid bus receipt.

Skiers and snowboarders can save some money when they hit the slopes with NJ Transit this winter.

Beginning Wednesday, Dec. 26 NJ Transit will provide direct transportation to Mountain Creek resort in Vernon.

Buses are scheduled to pick up passengers at the Route 23 Transit Center at 8 a.m. and arrive at Mountain Creek at 9:12 a.m.

The return trip will depart from Mountain Creek at 4:30 p.m. and return to the transit center at 5:40 p.m.

Roundtrip tickets will cost $8.80 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 11 years old, senior citizens, and customers with disabilities.

Express service on the route will operate daily from Dec. 26 through Jan. 1.

Beginning Saturday, Jan. 5 express service will operate on weekends and holidays through Sunday, March 10.

Customers 19 and older can receive a $10 discount off weekend and holiday lift tickets. Children and young adults 7 to 18 years old and senior citizens 65 and older will receive a $6 discount on weekends and holidays. A valid bus receipt must be shown at the Mountain Creek admission office in order to receive a discount.

NJ Transit customers can take advantage of discounts on a variety of activities at Mountain Creek, including: $5 off Drop Zone Tubing, $2 off the Soaring Eagle and the Alpine Mountain Coaster.

NJ Transit customers can also save 20 percent on select lodging as well.
