Interfaith Network Hosting Blood Drives This Month

Residents encouraged to donate blood on Sunday and in early February.

Due to what is describes as a "severe blood shortage," the Wayne Interfaith Network (WIN) will hold blood drives in town soon.

The network will hold blood drives on the following days:

Jan. 20: Packanack Community Church, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Immaculate Heart of Mary R.C. Church, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Feb. 3: Seventh Day Adventist Church of Wayne, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

More than 80 people donated blood during WIN's last blood drive in August.

Donors must be in good health, between 16 and 75 years old and weight more than 110 pounds. Donors who are 16 must bring a permission note from a parent; donors who are 75 or old must bring a doctor's note. Donors cannot have given blood within 60 days of either event.
