Honest Shoppers Pay for Merchandise at Empty Store

College students leave money for merchandise at Buddy's on Route 23.

A group of William Paterson University students entered Buddy’s on Route 23 recently to do a little shopping.

They went to pay for the sunglasses and batteries but there was a problem: no one came to check them out, fox2now.com reported.

After realizing no one was coming to help them the men paid for the merchandise. They left the money on the counter and even looked into a security camera while they left the money.

Management thinks the lock to the door malfunctioned and the men didn’t realize the store was closed because the lights are left on all night.

Management wants the men to return to the store to receive gift cards for their honesty.
