WSPA hosts Dr. Peter Gerhardt Workshop March 4

Wayne Special Parents Association (WSPA)
of the Wayne Council of PTO’s is hosting a workshop titled "Targeting Lives Of Competence And Quality For Adolescents and Adults With Autism Spectrum Disorders And Other Developmental Disabilities." The speaker is DR. PETER GERHARDT,  International Expert on Autism Adult Services and Supports and Director of the Organization of Autism Research.  

The workshop is Tuesday March 4, 2014 from 7:00 – 9:00 pm at the Anthony Wayne Middle School Media Center, 201 Garside Road, Wayne, NJ 07470.

Dr. Gerhardt is considered one of the leading researchers , scholars, clinicians around adult issues with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities.  He gives a comprehensive and lively overview of the issues people with Autism face regarding sexuality.  He shares perspectives, recommendations and helpful resources to educate people on the challenges faced by the Autism community. One lucky attendee will win an autographed copy of Dr. Gerhardt’s new book titled “Social Skills and Adaptive Behavior in Learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders.”

New for this year the WPSA is offering free childcare during our workshops for current Wayne Schools students. RSVP is requested but not required for the childcare. If you are interested in using this service we will be happy to send additional information.
