ORGANIZING FOR ACTION TO VISIT FRELINGHUYSEN

OFA Essex & Morris County Chapter visit to Congressman Frelinghuysen's office for Immigration ReformTuesday July 9 - 11:00am30 Schuyler Place, Morristown NJ 07960 Now that Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CIR) has passed in the Senate, the legislation still faces an uphill challenge to pass the House in its current form, so we need to keep the pressure on Congress to let them know that American are demanding action on this issue!  OFA supporters around the country are organizing visits to their Member of Congress (MOC) next week to call on House Members to pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform with a path to citizenship. OFA Essex & Morris supporters will be meeting outside Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen's 11th District office in Morristown at 11:00 on Tuesday, July 9 to let him know that his constituents support Comprehensive Immigration Reform and are here to stay.  This is action is planned the day before a critical House Republican meeting on Immigration Reform planned for Wednesday, so we want to be sure he hears from his constituents Tuesday. RSVP here: https://my.barackobama.com/page/event/detail/gskttl One purpose of Tuesday's OFA visit will be let the Congressman know that he will be hearing regularly from his constituents on this issue through an extensive postcard campaign OFA is kicking off, along with partner organizations like SEIU, NJ Citizen Action, Center for Popular Democracy, Wind of the Spirit, Main Street Alliance, as well as several other groups dedicated to seeing Comprehensive Immigration Reform become a reality. If you can attend the Office Visit Tuesday, please RSVP online or to morrisnj.ofa@gmail.com so we can have an accurate headcount. Some signs and supporter cards will be available - bring your own hand-written signs as well calling for citizenship.
