PATERSON, NJ—In his first opening since re-election in June, Mayor Torres was on hand to offer reassuring remarks regarding the optimism of the beginning of a new business, appreciation of the owners’ belief in the economic development of Paterson and present the ribbon-cutting. He also treated the guests to a nostalgic and heartwarming story of the history of Silk City.
The event took place on a spectacularly sunny day accented by the glistening new washers and dryers at the newly opened Bubble Bath Laundromat in the Chamberlain Shopping Center. The Owners, Tom and Linda Depasquale were thrilled to hold their recent ribbon-cutting ceremony for their Grand Opening Celebration.
“We’re happy to bring a new look to a simple task,” said Tom Depasquale, owner. “The ribbon-cutting ceremony for Bubble Bath Laundromat marks the launch of a bright new location for families to gather and enjoy the ritual of weekly washing and drying.”

“We’re delighted that Mayor Torres attended our celebration. His appreciation of our bringing a new idea to a typical task of doing one’s laundry felt so empowering” said Depasquale adding “it was so inspiring to listen to the encouraging remarks made by the mayor.
Located in the Chamberlain Shopping Center at 464 Chamberlain Ave., the Laundromat is open 24 hours 7 days per week and offers free drying with a paid wash. Featuring WIFI access and flat screen TV’s, the new location is sure to make a tedious task pleasant for local residents.
