Jackson Hewitt Partners with Discover Financial Services

250,000 Taxpayers Eligible for Student Loan Interest Deductions

 Totowa, NJ--Jackson Hewitt is pleased to announce a new partnership that will allow savings for taxpayers with student loans. By working with The Student Loan Corporation, a subsidiary of Discover Financial Services, tax payers will be able to find deductions they may have missed in prior years.

 Late last year, Discover Financial Services (DFS) approached several national tax providers to explore a partnership where their customers could complete tax return amendments to claim Student Loan Interest Deductions for prior years.

“We are excited that DFS awarded this partnership to Jackson Hewitt as their exclusive provider for this program.” Stated Tom DePasquale, owner of several Passaic and Morris County offices.

 This program will provide special pricing for Student Loan customers interested in having their 2010 – 2012 tax returns amended. These amendments will be at no cost to the customer.

 The number of people who will benefit by this  return is estimated at 250,000 for each of the tax years, 2010, 2011 and 2012.

 This is a great opportunity for tax payers to get an additional refund and amend their old taxes giving them a greater amount of money back.
