Iraq Vet Honors Senior Veterans at Wayne Adult Center

Christian Health Care Adult Day Services of Wayne welcomed special guest Sergeant Rickey Ferriola of the United States Marine Corp, who is also the husband of Teela Ferriola, Christian Health Care Adult Day Services of Wayne Assistant Administrator/Activities Director. 

Sergeant Ferriola joined the clients while they learned about the history of Memorial Day, followed by a moment of silence and the playing of Taps. Clients were then given the opportunity to ask Sergeant Ferriola questions about his time in boot camp and his deployments to Iraq and Africa. 

In February, he completed his eight years of duty in the Marine Corp. Now a veteran himself, he honored the clients who are veterans by reading their names and pinning them with a patriotic ribbon. They concluded the program by singing their favorite patriotic songs.

Christian Health Care Adult Day Services of Wayne and Wyckoff are programs of Christian Health Care Center.
