Flu Shots Available, Superintendent Explains Why Goal Wasn't Met

Residents can get a flu vaccination today and hear from the superintendent why the district failed to meet a state-mandated performance goal.

Residents 18 and older can receive a flu vaccination at the Wayne Health Department between 3 and 6 p.m. today.

The health department is located in the municipal complex at 475 Valley Road. Vaccinations cost $15; they are free for Medicare Part B participants not enrolled in a Health Maintenance Organization.

Medicare Part B participants must bring their enrollment card to receive the vaccine.

Superintendent Ray Gonzalez will give a presentation on the district failing to satisfy a requirement of its annual performance review at a Board of Education meeting tonight. 

The meeting will be held at the district headquarters on Nellis Drive and will be broadcast online.
