Town Offering Flu and Pneumonia Shots
The Wayne Health Department is offering flu and pneumonia vaccinations this month.
The vaccinations will be administered at thehealth department Tuesday, Jan. 15 from 3 to 6 p.m.
Flu vaccines will cost $15. Pneumonia vaccines will cost $25.
Flu vaccines are free for residents who have Medicare Part B and who are not enrolled in an HMO.
Pneumonia vaccines are also free for Medicare Part B participants who are receiving one for the first time. Medicare will only pay for one vaccination in a person's lifetime.
Medicare Part B participants must bring a identification card to receive the vaccine free of charge.
Appointments are preferred but walk-ins are welcome.

The Wayne Township Municipal Building houses many government branches, including the town clerk, mayor's office, tax assessor, tax collector, health center, town administrator, fire bureau, finance department and the township court.
Mayor and council meetings, planning and board of adjustment meetings are held in the building. The police department is also located in the building.
