Neighbors-Helping-Neighbors Welcomes Former PSG Volunteer Members

I would like to offer a personal invitation to any of the PSG members who are now without a regular meeting to attend. You are welcome to attend our meetings and I would love to have a few help me set up new nhn library based locations that would be convenient to you and the other members of PSG. While NhN is a different format job search group. We are very similar to the mission of the PSG, to assist our members in finding jobs. Our growth as been amazing and our success rate even better. Many of our members are also members of PSG.

Also feel free to join our open LinkedIn group neighbors-helping-neighbors USA: http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Neighbors-helping-Neighbors-Career-Transition-3892534

Our website is under construction but is available at: www.neighbors-helping-neighbors.com; our current list of locations and meeting schedules are listed there.

Please feel free to email me for more information and to discuss possible assistance in setting up new locations.

About NhN

Neighbors-helping-Neighbors (NhN), is a free highly successful and recognized grassroots organization offering local library based weekly group meetings that are  Peer-led by volunteers to provide support and networking for people actively seeking employment.  Founded by John R. Fugazzie and started in River Edge, New Jersey on January, 27, 2011, NhN has fostered a “pay it forward” and accountability model.

An extremely supportive environment in which group members assist each other in job search techniques, resume reviews, interviewing coaching and suggestions based on personal experience plus personal and professional networking. Resources are available at host libraries to assist with computer job searches and other useful research resources.

The members include anyone in career transition, recent college graduates, laid-off workers, unemployed or underemployed professionals, persons re-entering the job market or struggling small business owners and retirees looking for part time or volunteer work. We accept help from professionals willing to donate their time to our group consistent with our meeting policies.

FWIW, the DoL's claim is that the PSG's are just being reorganized, re-branded, and given a modified charter. In the meanwhile, some of the eleven PSG's are likely to continue their activities in non-DoL facilities. Some PSGs' members might be considering demonstrating their leadership and professional talents again by re-building their own complementary professional organization for and by job hunters (rather than one run by one or a few people who too-often profit from job hunters).
