12 High School Students To Receive Scholarships

Twelve outstanding students from Wayne Hills and Wayne Valley High Schools will each receive a $1,000 scholarship, simply because of you... you, the shopper, you, who donates clothing and shoes, etc. and you, who just stops by and gives a cash gift.

The money was raised through the sale of merchandise at the Wayne Council of Parent Teacher Organization's Browse 'n' Shop Thrift Shop. The shop is located in the Preakness School, the same building that the Wayne Adult School is located.

The shop will be open through Thursday, June 21. There will be two more sales before  our closing: our Buy One- Get One Free sale is May 8, 9, 10; then our giant End of the Year bag sale is June 5, 6, and 7, and again on the 15, 16, and 17.

Come in and browse.

Yes, you are right, Wayne Mom. It IS a fabulous program and couldn't be accomplished without donations from the Wayne community! The Wayne PTO has been giving out thiese scholarships for many, many years.... and The Browse n Shop has been at this location since 1978.
By the Way, there was an error in the dates of the Bag Sale. The second week of the sale is June 12, 13 and 14.

Happy to hear this program is still going strong. As a former PTO Council officer and mom, I know how hard you worked to raise that amount of money. Congratulations to you, and congratulations to the students who will receive the scholarships.
