What about Amore Cucina on Ratzer Rd? I would put that in there before Bensi. Bensi is a chain it is almost like putting Olive Garden in the voting.

Love Love Love Positano. They have had consistently great food and great service for many years. And I'm not the only one who loves it - there is always a line out the door any weekend night. The food is definelty worth the wait.

I love having romantic lunches, with my husband during the week, at Da Vinci's. They never disappoint!

I think both restaurants are very good. I have never had a disappointing meal at either and the service is very good at both. They are different from each other and both have their strong points, but both are very good. The atmosphere and ambiance is different at each, however both are very enjoyable!

To be honest there is not a really GOOD Italian restaurant in town. If anyone thinks Aldo's is good, then they do not know Italian food. One must leave town to find a really good Italian place, just like one must leave town to find a good bakery..Bensi? wow. Thats like an Italian MacDonalds..You won't find many true Italian-Americans at any of the mentioned places. But may leave town and try places like Nicola's in Totowa or even better is LuNello's in Little Falls..

Nicola's is over rated and overpriced. It's too dam noisey in that place. You can't even hear yourself think.

if price is your concern then stick with places like Bensi. You do get what you pay for. Kinda like comparing Shop Rite to Market Basket..There is NO substitute for QUALITY

Eyes wide shut....When price far exceeds what you get in return, then price is my concern. The atmosphere sucks at Nicola's and it's too damn loud! If you like it, you eat there.I don't eat at Bensi's.

Al you are certainly entitled to your opinion. I have never, ever had a bad or even average dinner at Nicola's thats why myself, family and friends keep going back. There is no substitute for quality. If you are into "pizzeria" type food then so be it.

Positano's is the best. Service is excellent. Family owned and the food is out of this world. Alfredo & Gus are excellent waiters. Lorraine & Steve make you feel like you are part of the family. Vodka sauce is tremendous and also the house dressing. You won't be disappointed at all. Lorraine & Steve live in Wayne and also support many charitable events and also Wayne's volunteers. They are committed to Wayne and its residents.

DaVinci's is very good as well. The food is very good and the service excellent. It's a different from Positano's. Since they have opened, my wife and I go there about once, maybe twice a month. The food is consistently very good, the service excellent, and it has nice ambiance. Positano's is very good as well. It's been open much longer and the food is consistently good and the service excellent. It has a following and there are a sream of steady customers, especially on Friday nights. Steve and Lorraine are wonderful hosts.

I agree Positano has been a long standing supporter of the Wayne community. They are constantly doing fundraisers. They helped when there was the fires at the apartments on Berdan. Just this week they did a fundraiser for St joes. Not only do they have great food but they are truly part if our community. Did I mention their homemade salad dressing is to die for :)

No Gencarelli's on the Lake? I've never had a bad meal there, and the staff is always friendly with good service.
I actually went to Amore Cucina last week. Their food was not wholly impressive, and I felt the prices were on the high side. Won't be returning there, as there are much better places (with better prices!) in Wayne.
