Water Main Breaks Plague Residents, Close Roads
Four breaks occurred on Saturday, an 'uncommon' event, officials said.

Several water main pipes have broken in the past few days, closing roads and causing traffic delays in town.
There were four water main breaks on Saturday, two “small” and two “large,” said Heather Vitz-Del Rio, water and sewer superintendent, an “uncommon event” she added. The breaks reportedly occurred on Valley Road, Chapel Place, Lower Valley Road, French Hill Road and Hopper Lane. Water service to homes was interrupted in a few of the incidents.
PSE&G workers caused another break on Ratzer Road near Greenrale Avenue on Monday when they put a pole through a water main. The company repaired the damage.
Vitz-Del Rio said about 50 water main breaks occur annually.
“We do typically have more breaks in the winter than in the summer,” she said.

terrible.....now lets talk about Valley Rd extension and Hamburg turnpike!!!! OMG im lucky i have 4 wheels on my car. I do understand there is construction....but, really they can patch those holes or should i say craters.....What are they waiting for a car accident?????????????? SMH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bambi, my advice to you is stay away from there until "destruction" is complete. Take Church Lane to Ratzer Road so you don't have to go through "Creator Turnpike"

Well what do you do when thats the route you need to take to get home????? Im glad I pay taxes for what??? I soooo thrilled when i drve by there and see NO ONE WORKING!!!! Soooo infuriates me.....Here's a news flash!!!!! Do one thing finish and move on!!!!!!!! What cant they figure out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
