Volunteers Can Sign Up Monday to Help Create Community Garden
Sign up being held at town hall at 10 a.m. Work on the public project slated to begin in early April.

Residents can sign up to help create the township’s first community garden at the municipal building on Monday at 10 a.m.
The garden project, spearheaded by sustainability advocate and resident Victor Alfieri, will give residents the chance to grow fresh, organic vegetables and flowers without the use of pesticides.
Volunteers are needed to help create the garden on April 5, 6, and 7 beginning at 8 a.m.
The garden will be located at the Van Riper-Hopper House museum on Berdan Avenue.
Alfieri successfully fought and won a court case to keep hens on his property. He is also heading up a project to help the local bat population thrive.

If anyone is planning on signing I wouldn't wait too long. There was a line when I went to town hall this morning to sign up and it looks like it will fill up fast. Lots of people are excited to be a part of this. Thanks Victor

Chickens In Wayne
I have been getting e-mails and calls from Wayne residents regarding owning and raising chickens in Wayne, NJ, and I would like to clear up the issue.
The fact is, Wayne town officials were enforcing a law that had nothing to do with homeowners. I proved this fact in court on June 28, 2012. All Wayne residents can LEGALLY raise chickens, ducks, quail, turkeys etc., ON ANY SIZE PROPERTY. Roosters are legal but I do not recommended them.
If any town official tells you otherwise please take down their name and call me immediately. Call with any questions: Victor 201-220-4862.
